5 things you can rent today

Here are 5 things you can rent today that you already own

1. Rent your space

Did you know you can rent your extra space in your house or garage? Use the airbnb app or go to their website www.airbnb.com to list your spare room. This works great in cities where hotel rooms ask very high prices. By using this app you can easily list your room for a daily rental. I know that next time I am traveling on a budget. I will be skipping the dorm room hostel and going straight for the cheap room on airbnb.

2. Rent your car

Have an extra car sitting in your drive way collecting dust? Rent it for some easy cash. This works great in cities where rental cars fetch high prices. It’s important that you make sure your insurence will cover the drivers and that you accept the risk to your vehicle. This can be a great way to add some extra cash to your pocket. You can also go through certain sites like www.relayrides.com and rent your car for the day or for the week. They will provide the insurance and pre-screen the drivers. For a fee of course.

3. Rent out a parking spot

Do you live in a large city where parking is impossible to find? Do you live right next to a large stadium or where a big festival takes place? If the answer is yes, then there is a good chance your parking spot, drive way or back yard can be rented for parking. If you are looking to rent out a parking spot check out www.parkingpanda.com. Here you can list your parking for free and when it gets booked they take a 20% fee and give you the rest.

4. Rent out your stuff

I know there are a lot of things that come under, “Stuff.”  Here are some examples: bikes, tools, video equipment, camping tents and boats. Whats makes a good item to rent? I would say something that is widely used but fetch’s a high enough price, where it is not beneficial to buy it for a one time use. A great resource for renting your items is LendLock. Check it out here LendLock

5. Rent out yourself

You can rent out your time. A great way to do this is by using the task rabbit app. You get paid by doing small and large tasks. Someone may want a certain dish from their favorite restaurant in the city and be willing to pay you $50 to deliver it to them. It could be they need something moved or disposed of, whatever it is there are people willing to pay you for your time.
